RELAX

PIN

A good part of a work-life balance is taking time off.  A day, or some days.  It’s important to a person’s health and well-being, and much more.

Taking time off allows you to recharge and refresh.  And forget about work, if you do it right.  I don’t mean you have to be completely work-free, but disconnected enough so that your stress levels can dissipate.

This time of the year is typically my slow period.  The calm before the storm.  My wife and I just took 2-weeks off and island hopped in the West Indies.  At first it seemed like 2-weeks was going to be way too long.  It wasn’t.  We were on a smaller boat and stopped at a different island every day.  Every day we had several excursions we could choose from.  Island tours, beach visits… rum making.  We were pampered and taken care of so well.  We were spoiled.  I’m not trying to be a braggart.  I’m trying to show you what you can do, some day.

You don’t have to take a cruise to relax.  You can relax at home, if that works for you, or take a road trip.  Maybe do something different.

The point is, take some time off now and then.  Relax, recharge your batteries, and let your stress diminish.  Relaxation is just as important as working.

The island hopping sounds fun. Would you please share which cruise / cruise line you took? Love the podcast!

      Hi Dianna,
Thanks for listening to my podcast.
We went on Windstar. The cruise started and ended on St. Maarten.
Some people are cruise people and some aren’t.
We had a really nice time, but none of the islands we visited would be on a bucket list… but altogether it was a really nice trip.
